El mundo de Britany – El Venado
She made a short documentary where he portrays the daily life of a family in the community of El Venado, starring Britany, the youngest daughter. Britany is known in her community for her outstanding creativity and constant curiosity. Her dreams and thoughts are reflected in this short film entitled El Mundo de Britany, which also documents the different ways of life within the community of El Venado and how with a small change in everyday life, a child’s future can be transformed.

Lives and works in México City

Pia Ilonka is an artist and visual anthropologist living in Mexico City. She has a degree in Television and Film Production at Edith Cowan University in Australia. She also has two years of Visual Arts studies at the Einar Granum Art School in Oslo, Norway, and a Photonarrative and New Media Diploma from the Pedro Meyer Foundation and World Press Photo. Later she study the Master degree in Visual Anthropology at the Freie Universität in Berlin. She has worked as a production manager and producer for national radio and television Norway NRK. Her body of work is mainly formed by video, between documentary and experimental cinema.
Her work is developed between personal, documentary and experimental.
