Community Project

The project consisted of creating an illustrated collective map of the Chacahua Lagoons, narrated from the perspective of the inhabitants of two communities that reside in the area: Zapotalito and Cerro Hermoso. This cartography intertwined different layers that make up the place: the natural environment (fauna and flora species, hills, or distinctive elements of the landscape in general), and supernatural stories that reflect an intimate, yet collective, experience with the place.

A fundamental objective of the project was to help bring visibility to the deep knowledge of the communities inhabiting this territory. lt aimed to portray itas a vibrant and rich space, both in terms of its natural and cultural aspects.
