Community Project

The project Cruz del Sur involved creating a concrete floor/platform in the shape of a compass rose, providing a space with coordinates for positioning oneself in relation to the cardinal points. This space served as a conversation area to question the political implications associated with notions of north and south. The main objective was to develop a sculpture/space that would function as a generator/activatorof conversations, experimenting with the possibilities of art as a catalyst for changing perspectives through dialogue and the exchange of ideas. The project aimed to foster critical thinking in response to the challenges of contemporary society. It was carried out at Bachillerato 5/7 Emiliano Zapata in the community of Río Grande.
