Lives and works in México City

Born and currently based in Mexico City, Leonardo Heiblum has made music all his life.
He has made his career in writing and producing music for all visual disciplines, in particular films.
First in his hometown and later in Argentina, US and India, he studied composition, piano, tabla, traditional music from different parts of the world and recording engineering.
Amongst his most recognized works are the score for the movie Maria Full of Grace and the score for the Sundance award-winning documentary In The Pit.
He won the Mexican Ariel for best original music together with his partner Jacobo Lieberman for the movies Desierto Adentro in 2009, Carriere in 2013 and La Jaula de Oro in 2014.
Today he owns with Jacobo Audioflot, a music studio in Mexico City and he plays Tabla from India and Jarana (Mexican traditional guitar from Verzcruz) in several music projects like Los Shajatos, Pare de Sufrir, Operación Jarocha and Wako Texas.
He is involved with the rescue and preservation of traditional music, in particular Son Jarocho, producing recordings and concerts with traditional musicians.
