Fabricación de bicicletas de bambú – COBAO 25 Rio Grande
The workshop With the objective of developing a long-term bamboo-producing bicycle community. Through the integration, transformation, and management of said raw material and source of income for the community. The cycling culture group; Eli de Bicla conducted this workshop with the San Isidro Llano Grande community.
Eli Acosta and Daniel Santa María introduced the community to the manufacture of bamboo bicycles, to the construction of human propulsion machines, helping to generate economic and construction dynamics for the direct use of the plant.of making a piece to be located in the sculptural garden. The production of this the sculpture was guided in the format of a “time capsule” and the gold discs found in Voyager sound waves more than 15,000 million km from Earth, these elements were chosen because of the possibility they offer to talk about a specific identification and projection in the future of some concerns, doubts, or concerns both personal and community level.

Taller seguridad vial – Comunidad Llano Grande
The collective cycling group “Basica Studio,” led by Mexican Jesús López, developed a training on road safety and culture for bicycle users for the communities of Llano Grande, Oaxaca. This workshop consisted of bringing bicycle users closer to start a dialogue and begin to contribute collectively towards a better coexistence between cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. In addition to basic mechanics principles so that the users themselves can make repairs to their own bicycles.

Básica Studio work is governed by strategies that seek to restore the fresh look at the use of bicycles; Básica combines experiences of restoration, design and craftsmanship of urban and professional bicycle with creative, artistic, and social research projects to invite more people to use the bike. Jesús López y Eli Acosta (Eli de Bicla) integrate Básica Studio.
Básica’s work has been shown in two recent exhibits on bicycles “The Bike Tour” Franz Mayer Museum and “Traces Cyclists” File Design and Architecture. Also at the Art Show of Bicycle Film Festival in Mexico City.
Básica investigates the relationship between user and bike and how these relate to the cities.
