Community Project

El lenguaje de las paredes – Músicos tradicionales
The language of the walls was a study on the acoustics of the architectural work of Casa Wabi and the way in which sound reacts to it. This work sought to sculpt a sonic architecture and discover the different ways in which sound reacts to decisions and the will of the architect.
This project gives Casa Wabi the opportunity to take its architecture to different museums and galleries thanks to its ability to present itself inside and outside its facilities in the state of Oaxaca; will give recognition to his work and the architectural work that is Casa Wabi.
The project also involved ethnographic documentation of music originating in the region. This file was donated to the National Fonoteca and the CENIDIM (National Center for Research, Documentation and Musical Information).

Lives and works in Guadalajara

Visual and sound artist who lives and works in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The transfer of ideas and concepts between science and art, memory, language and perception are a fundamental part of his research work. Using different means such as installation, sound and video Diego seeks to reconstruct mental images to describe experiences of interaction with our environment, as well as the concepts that result from this process.

Confronting these representations allows us to reflect and revalue the collective ontological vision.

He is the founder of the multidisciplinary project Delia Plank where pieces of electroacoustic music, multichannel sound installations, composition and musical experimentation are developed.
