Community Project

Tejiendo Comunidad – Grupo de El Venado
The resident learned within the community to make the fabric of the net or fishing net, with this knowledge as a base, bags were made with nylon thread, woven palm, and blanket, the central idea was that those who knew how to make the fabric could teach them to those that did not have that knowledge.
At the same time, the resident showed dyeing and transfer of natural dye to make eye-catching and striking designs of the bags created. In this way, a learning network simulating the fishing net was created, while the participants learned to make utilitarian objects with the techniques learned in the workshop.

Andrea Bores chooses the textile fiber as the main way to explore the constituent structures of nature. Through processes that appeal to randomness, it causes interactions of natural elements with fiber or paper to force them to reveal their decisions. On the other hand, it seeks to give meaning to those brands with controlled, precise records that become landscapes or cartographies which simulate fractional codes of the universe.
