Community Project

The project consists of the development of a landscape photography workshop aimed at members of the community. In order for the participants to develop a photographic essay on their landscape and incorporate visual language tools, based on different practical and theoretical exercises, specifically designed for this meeting at Casa Wabi. The objective was that each participant could carry out a poetic and documentary photographic essay that allows them to interpret their landscape and incorporate new visual language tools.

Silvestre Borgatello is an architect, landscaper and photographer. He graduated in architecture from the National University of Rosario, specializing in Landscape Architecture Torcuato Di Tella University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Design, Planning and Conservation of landscapes and gardens at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. He obtained a scholarship in Visual Arts from the Secretary of Culture of the Province of Santa Fe, Argentina. The Torcuato Di Tella University and the USC American Academy in China awarded him a scholarship to participate in the Creative Nature 2011 exhibition in Xi An, China. He received the First Prize national ideas contest: Science Park. He is the director of the Estudio Loess Landscape Architecture studio. He has participated in individual and collective photography exhibitions in Argentina and in national and international congresses on landscape architecture. Currently he lives and works in Mexico City.
