NOHBORDS (Diego Mur and Mauricio Rico)
Artistic project of contemporary dance and visual art based in Mexico City, co-directed by: Diego Mur and Mauricio Rico, conceived as a space dedicated to the study and exploration of the body and movement applied to different disciplines of art and experimentation, in order to build scenic works starting from alternative fields.
Since 2014, the collaboration of artists with different creative approaches for the realization of projects ranging from the documentary short film: SKIN (CDMX 2014), fiction short film: LE CORPS DE L’AUTRE (Brussels, Belgium 2015), video art: LA PIEL (CDMX 2018) and ECOS (Casa Estudio Luis Barragán CDMX 2018), choreographic pieces of contemporary dance such as: PEEL (Expectation Tour Forum La Nabe CDMX 2016), 1Q90 (Festival del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México 2018) , RAISED BY GODS (Tijuana Mexico April 2018), stage interventions: ECOS (Casa Estudio Luis Barragán CDMX 2017) and a practical workshop to initiate the movement: MOVE (CENART 2017 CDMX, Rio de Janeiro Brazil 2018).
The audiovisual works have been selected to be exhibited on international platforms such as: NOWNESS, the Desing week Mexico 2017, the Festival de Video Danza Agita y Sirva, exhibiting in countries such as: Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Stockholm, France, Italy and Spain, with LE CORPS DE L’AUTRE, in 2015 they won the Agita y Sirva dance video prize and the FICD5 prize, the Festival Internacional de Cine en el Desierto with SKIN.
The scenic works have been presented in alternative spaces, halls, art galleries and theatrical venues such as: Seminario de Cultura Mexicana, the Salón de Danza de la UNAM, the Teatro de la ciudad Esperanza Iris within the framework of Festival del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México.
One of the characteristics of the artistic work of NOHBORDS is the development of laboratories and creative processes in cooperation of all expression possible to result in a scenic product of integration.
