Community Project

Introducción a la acrobacia – Grupo de baile folcklórico de la Casa de Cultura de Río Grande
The objective of the project was to introduce participants to acrobatics in pairs and groups to help them explore and know their body through basic exercises of strength, counterweights, stacks and balance.
With these group exercises it was hoped to create a playful experience with the participants but at the same time help them to cohere as a dance collective and encourage them to be more creative with their corporal expression.
In the first session the counterweight was worked, in the second the stacking and balance and the third the strength. In the end, the participants were invited to create new positions and forms that could combine all the elements they learned throughout the workshop.
