Community Project

During the residency, the artist gave several performances in conjunction with the activities of the Coastal Mobile Library in various communities. They also performed a jazz and improvisation concert with the Kunt Vargas Trio ensemble for the entire student body of COBAO 25 in Río Grande. Additionally, he collaborated closely on the Poncili Creación project and with artist Maya Perry.

    Musician, archaeologist, and visual artist originally from the Mixe community of Santa María Tlahuitoltepec, Oaxaca. His practice encompasses a wide range of experimental and improvisational styles. His current projects include: Los Pream, Kunt Vargas Trio (improvisational jazz), Kumantuk Archaeological Site (ceramics, stone sculpture, drawing, painting), and trombone experimentation in search of new sounds. His diverse artistic endeavors include a solo exhibition invited by the YUTINDUDI gallery at the MATERIAL Guadalajara Art Fair 2025, concerts with Damon Albarn at Africa Express, Vive Latino 2026, and more.
