Jungwan Bae
– Casa Wabi 2025
Community Project
By reviewing and sharing interview techniques, the artist worked with a high school group on the project “100 years before and 100 years after.” Using this tool, he encouraged participants to search for old family and regional memories among their relatives and acquaintances. Then, exchanges took place among the students, who recorded different messages to be viewed in one hundred years. All the files were compiled into a document that will live in the cloud and have different activation moments.

Jungwan’s exploration developed from basic science education to architecture projects in parallel with the practice in arts, with FriiH Form research and innovative ideas in history. Throughout many explorations, he looks at life and its emotions, spanning across multi-cultural life experiences. Through contemplation in the journey of life and installations that involve spatial sculpture, video, and noise, he searches for ways to share emotions through a sublime connection—a memory of life past, present, and future.
