Community Project

Narrative workshop to create a short film about the history of San Isidro Llano Grande, collectively made by a group of teenagers, through audiovisual experimentation, using”non-traditional film” tools such as cell phones, social media, and the incorporation of printed images. Workshop led alongside Emanuel Ruiz Triste, a photographer from the community.

The workshop aimed to pose 4 questions: What is history?, How is history told?, Who tells the story?, and Why is the story told?, with the objective of questioning the hegemonic structures of storytelling, as presented by literature and other narrative forms, to explore if it is possible to tell stories in other ways that are somehow congruent with our territories and imaginaries.”
