Cielo Abierto – Escuela Primaria Ignacio Zaragoza, Cacalotepec
A building intervened at its four exterior walls and roof. The piece emphasizes Oaxaca’s economic activities and maps the large mining projects that take place in this state.
The colour palette of this project imitates the various shades of blue from the depths of the sea the clear sky. It attempts to merge the building with the environment in the community.

Cecilia is a Visual Arts Master Candidate in the UNAM Arts and Design Faculty. She won the artist residency La Chambre Blanche in Canada, as well as the BBVA Bancomer – MACG scholarship. Barretas earned the first place award in the second edition of Parámetro Arte Lumen in 2016. She has obtained recognition in the Rufino Tamayo Painting Bienal in their XVIII, XVI editions, in addition to an honorary mention in the Painting and Printmaking Alfredo Zalce Bienal’s 8th edition.
