Taller de Collage – Telesecundaria, San José Manialtepec
With the purpose of improving the creative development of 28 students from the High School of San José Manialtepec; in the workshop were given the collage technique, explaining its history and the different techniques and applications, to later on with the resident produce a series of pieces of different formats.
At first, they were team up in pairs, so they can explore the different materials that were provided. In the following sessions were formed groups of 4 or 5 members to create larger format collages that addressed a specific theme, inviting them to use the materials provided as well as natural elements found in the school gardens or that the students have brought from their home. The final result was an exhibition of 7 pieces that are sheltered by the High School.
“I learned a lot because we didn’t really know how the collage was made or how it was invented and with the explanation and the activities we realized and learned how to do it, I learned to work my mind and let it fly and imagine.” Dulce María Martínez Sánchez (14 years old).
