2016
The inaugural exposition in Santa María titled – 15°56’20.3″N 97°16’18.1”W – is a direct reference to the geographical coordinates of Casa Wabi in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. This first edition displayed the work of Galia Eibenschutz, Michael Joo, Erick Meyenberg and Gala Porras-Kim Each with the intention of creating a direct reference to the characteristic elements of the iconic space designed by Tadao Ando, the pieces shown in the exhibition are abstractions of its key components.

Components such as members of the communities linked to Casa Wabi’s work; the distinct nature of the cost of Oaxaca; the interaction between sea salt and concrete, this being the main constructive material of the venue; and the architectural details that have become its primary visual references. 15°56’20.3″N 97°16’18.1″W introduces CDMX to events taking place some 700 km away in Casa Wabi, Puerto Escondido.
