Established in 2023, Casa Wabi Sabino is Fundación Casa Wabi’s not-for-profit exhibition space in the Atlampa neighborhood of México City. It occupies the gallery and rooftop terrace of a building designed by Alberto Kalach and shared with Studio Bosco Sodi. We provide a venue for emerging artists eager to present their work.
Proposals
- All are invited to submit proposals.
- First time exhibitors are welcome.
- We welcome work in any medium or discipline.
- Proposals are considered on a rolling basis.
- Our two exhibition spaces can be used separately or combined.
Exhibition Spaces
- 2nd Floor Gallery, indoor, 36.5 m2
- Rooftop Terrace, outdoor, 49 m2
Requirements
- The artist’s complete personal involvement in every phase of installation and deinstallation is required.
- The work proposed for exhibition must already exist.
Other Guidelines
- The exact shape of the exhibition will be discussed and agreed with the Curator, Dakin Hart.
- All installations are subject to the approval of Fundación Casa Wabi.
- The exhibition spaces may not be permanently altered or in any way damaged.
- Exhibited work must be removed immediately following the closure of the exhibition.
Casa Wabi Sabino provides:
- The space
- Assistance with the installation
- An opening event (the artist is equally responsible for promotion)
- In-house photography of the installation, which will be provided to the artist. If professional photography is desired, the artist will need to arrange for it.
- Promotion via Fundación Casa Wabi’s social media outlets
- A permanent record of the exhibition on the Casa Wabi website
Casa Wabi Sabino does not provide:
- Money for fabrication
- Shipping or any reimbursement thereof
- Insurance or any reimbursement thereof
- Installation services
- Storage before or after the exhibition
