The clay workshop is aimed at children in elementary and middle schools in the surrounding communities. Its principal objective is to promote a comprehensive reevaluation of the importance and organic nobility of clay, given that it alludes to the local culture and economy.

The clay program aims to develop an educational plan focused on the practical learning of the processes of production and handling of the material at the region.

The program takes place at Siza’s pavilion, where children learn all the processes of clay, from the extraction, modeling, drying, and burning, as well as the socioeconomic importance in their communities. Working with children in their formative years guarantees a long-term impact, as learning will determine their adult decisions in those years.

The program also seeks to strengthen their social ties, discover their skills and recognize the natural resources of their environment.
