After reviewing the history of graphic design and her personal work, Carson guided a group of university students in creating a personal design style, a unique form of expression using simple elements and materials. Accompanying the drawing exercises was a profound reflection on where each person was in their lives, their perspectives and plans for the future, and the realization that every human being is unique and irreplaceable.

    David Carson, a Emmy-nominated, multi-award winning graphic designer, creative director and artist, is the recipient of graphic design’s highest award, the AIGA Gold. He is the first, and only, graphic designer to be included in the Masterclass series, and has recently been advising on a case in front of the US Supreme Court to decide if ‘Graphic design is art’. in 2023 David has rebranded whiskey brand the Macallan .
