Jamie Denburg Habie is a Guatemalan artist and cultural producer. Her work explores unexpected relationships between human, mineral, animal, and celestial bodies, challenging anthropocentric narratives and highlighting the synergies among systems. Her art, often interactive, draws from neuroscience, material studies, meditation, somatic practices, and political ecologies to create spaces of connection through corporeality.
A graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Jamie has an interdisciplinary background in art and politics. In 2013, she co-founded and directed La Nueva Fábrica, a nonprofit contemporary art space in Antigua Guatemala dedicated to empowering diverse communities through exhibitions, education, residencies, and global partnerships.
