El trabajo de Tony Orrico alcanzó la circulación masiva por su ingenuidad dentro del performance vernáculo y el dibujo conceptual. El desarrolló su propia práctica de simetría física (cerca del 2005) como un punto de entrada a su trabajo visual. El está interesado en la organización de la conciencia y la aplicaciones del cuerpo sobre una superficie, objeto o curso.

Orrico ha realizado performances/exhibido su trabajo en E.E.U.U., Australia, Bélgica, China, Dinamarca, Francia, Alemania, México, Los Países Bajos, Polonia y España. Su trabajo visual forma parte de The National Academy of Sciences (Washington DC) y el Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC, Distrito Federal) así como otras prominentes colecciones privadas. Se ha presentado en Centre Pompidou-Metz, New Museum y Poptech 2011: The World Rebalancing.

Orrico es miembro de Trisha Brown Dance Company y Shen Wei Dance Arts, además de ser uno de los artistas seleccionados para re-presentar el trabajo de Marina Abramovic durante su retrospectiva en el MoMA.

(b. 1979) Tony Orrico’s work has reached mass circulation for its ingenuity within the vernacular of performance and conceptual drawing. He developed his own physical symmetry practice (circa 2005) as point of entry into his visual work. He is interested in organized consciousness and applications of the body to a surface, object, or course.

Orrico has performed/exhibited his work in the US, Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. His visual work is in collection at The National Academy of Sciences (Washington DC) and Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC, Mexico City) as well as prominent private collections. He has presented at Centre Pompidou-Metz, New Museum, and Poptech 2011: The World Rebalancing.

Orrico is a former member of Trisha Brown Dance Company and Shen Wei Dance Arts, and he was one of a select group of artists to re-perform the work of Marina Abramovic during her retrospective at MoMA.
